Katie, our senior hairdresser, possesses an exceptional eye for detail and a profound dedication to her clients. With over 14 years of experience in the industry, she specialises in colour and treatments, showcasing her expertise in every appointment.
Katie's true passion lies in crafting exquisite colors for her diverse clientele, particularly in perfecting blonde tones to absolute perfection. Her transformative abilities can effortlessly elevate a client's look to something truly breathtaking.
A proud Waihi Beach local, Katie cherishes moments spent with her husband and three children, alongside sharing hearty laughs with her close friends.

ANNA FORD
Anna has been with our team since September 2021, bringing her passion for creating beautiful, fashionable hairstyles and colors that perfectly align with our clients' lifestyles and environmental values.
With over 19 years of industry experience, she has received extensive training in all aspects of hairdressing. Her journey began in her hometown in Germany, and after exploring the world and using hairdressing as her passport, she settled in Auckland in 2011. Now, she calls Waihi home, where she lives with her husband and son, continuing to share her expertise and creativity with our valued clients.

RENEE DEAN
Renee joined the team in April 2022 after a two-year break from the industry while raising her little boy, bringing with her over 10 years of experience.
A long-time local, she grew up in the area and is now raising her own family here. With a great sense of humor and a love for laughter, you'll often hear her brightening the salon with her infectious laugh throughout the day.
Hairdressing allows her to express her creativity and build meaningful connections with her clients.

RACHEL HALE
Rachel joined the Hairwaves team in 2023 , she has been in the industry 37 years and I still loves it. She loves getting to meet the most interesting, amazing people whilst making them feel confident and look great.
Mastering all aspects of Hairdressing over the years, she can truely say it still inspires her to constantly evolve within the industry. Rachel is passionate about education and giving back and is also an Industry Assessor, travelling around assessing apprentices completing their apprenticeships and gaining NZ Hairdressing certificate.
Outside of Hairdressing Rachel is a mum to Izzy who amongst other things is very involved in the Waihi Beach Surf Club, which brings their family to the beach.
